Finding a Talented Trainer is a must!
We take immense pride in raising our Doodle puppies and want to see them go on to be the best they can be. Prior to your puppy going home, start researching for a local trainer or Obedience classes you can attend in your area! Ask family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and the internet for recommendations. Training costs should be part of your budget plan when getting a new puppy.
Because doodle puppies are so smart they require an owner that is willing to teach boundaries. We will provide you with a healthy, intelligent puppy ready for you to mold. It is up to you to make your puppy an obedient adult. Your puppy will be part of your family for the next 10-15 years. Making obedience training a requirement for your family will have a huge payoff in the long run. Giving you and your dog freedom, happiness and peace of mind.
Start out by doing some research and get an idea and a plan in place for the type of trainer and training that best fits what you have in mind. You can start out by asking family, friends, neighbor, co workers for references.
Trainers can Teach your dogs to:
Sit
Come
Down
Stay
Shake
Ask for Permission
Fetch
Put away
Eliminate on Command
Commands from a distance - This one is super important when out at the beach or Dog Park
Quiet
Walk slower
Fun Dog Tricks:
Spin
Roll over
Bow
Sit Pretty
High Five
Bump
Kiss
You name it! These dogs can learn it! I highly recommend training non stop until AGE 2. Around age 3 you start to see them settle in more to an adult dog and all your hard work that you put in those first years will give you peace of mind and an enjoyable companion for life.
Hit the basics hard the first year! The 2nd year you can get fancy!
One really important command a Trainer can teach your dog is to not run out OPEN doors! A lot of dogs will dart out the front door and some will head straight for the street! Yes a trainer can work with your dog and teach them to not cross an open door with out permission, They will come to the front/back door and sit until given permission to go outside.

Reccomended dog trainers:If you wish to start searching for a trainer to work with I think it’s best to find a trainer as close to you as you can. So Please ask friends, family, neighbors, co workers and of course the Internet for trainers near by.
The trainers below have been hired by previouos customers to work with my pups in the past. Gina in Temecula has actually owned two of my Labradoodles herself. She adopted Chance her very first doodle from me back in 2005. So she is a wonderful reference for me as well. She also boards dogs so if you ever plan a vacation I highly recommend her for boarding and training if needed all at once.
TEMECULA AREA: SOUTHERN CA RECOMMENDATION: Gina Cox- If you live near or are ever vacationing in Southern California and need to board your dog please visit Gina she is located on a beautiful Ranch in Temecula, ca. If you are hoping to find a program that takes pups right on at 8 weeks for training I do know a ton of Trainers have started doing that. Just please grill them on how they keep such young pups safe from Parvo etc. Make sure they convince you your puppy will be well taken care of and treated as if it has no immune system. I have meet and dropped pups off to trainers, mostly families will take pups for the first day and then drop off themselves so they can meet the pups etc.
Now is the time to start making a training plan, you can train yourself, start searching for trainers, plan to use a trainer later, completely up to you.
